Introduction
This website has been created to support Managers in the planning and
organising of training events for their staff. The training providers listed
below have been screened, evaluated and approved by the HR Manager. The
Training Provider listing is not exhaustive but lists the main providers that are
able to deliver the training required by Edi Rail salaried staff. If none of the
Training Providers listed below offer training to suit your needs please contact
one of the HR staff and they will be able to locate a suitable provider for you.

National Websites
Ai Group – Ai Group specialises mainly in Employee Relations and OHS training, however, they also deliver courses in Business Improvement, Environment and Trade. Ai Group also offers Introduction to Supervision and Introduction to Leadership (Frontline Management). Ai Group has offices in NSW, Brisbane and Victoria with affiliations with other training providers in WA and SA. Ai Group is a preferred supplier of EDI Rail particularly in the areas of Frontline Management, Employee Relations and OHS.
Australian Institute of Management (AIM) – AIM have offices in every state with ACT grouped with NSW, NT grouped with QLD and TAS grouped with VIC. AIM delivers a broad range of courses in the following categories: Business Communication, Executive Governance, Finance, Frontline Management, General Management, Individual Performance, Leading & Developing People, Learning & Development, Project & Operations Management and Sales, Marketing & Customer Service. Chifley Business School – Chifley’s Head Office is situated in Melbourne however, they deliver courses in every state. The types of courses Chifley delivers include: Project Management, Risk Management, Contract Management, Asset Management, Change Management, Leadership, Presentation Skills, People Skills, Negotiation and Document Writing.
Engineering Education Australia (EEA) – EEA provide a range of technical & management courses related mainly to Engineer Australia members, and other individuals and organisations in engineering and related fields. Whilst most of the courses are targeted to Engineering professionals the courses content is relevant to other professionals as well. EEA delivers courses in the areas of: Project Management, Contracts Management, Risk Management, Financial Management, Leadership, Management, Negotiation, Presentation Skills and Writing Technical Documents.
Executive Training
IIR Executive – IIR Executive delivers specialised courses pitched to the Middle Manager/Senior Executive level in the areas of Leadership & Personal Development, Office Professionals (PA’s & EA’s), Finance & Accounting, Contracts & Legal, Human Resources & Training, IT, Marketing, Sales & Product Development, Project Management and Balance Scorecard. Although the IIR Executive courses are quite costly some of the courses on offered are very relevant to Middle & Senior Managers particularly in the areas of Contract & Legal, Tendering, High Level Negotiation, and Business Communication & Negotiation with Asian Cultures. IIR Executive’s Head Office is in NSW however they deliver courses in every state.
Supply Management
APICS Australia – APICS provide a learning pathway for employees working in the Resource Management field. APICS offer a number of certifications including Purchasing Management, Production & Inventory Management and Integrated Resource Management. They also offer a Fundamentals program for a number of different subjects including: Inventory Control, Planning, Manufacturing Control, Operations Management and Warehousing. APICS qualifications are internationally recognised and their programs are accessed by a number of the Manufacturing plants in Edi Rail. APICS have offices in every state except TAS.

Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) – The AGSM, a joint venture between the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney, is Australia’s pre-eminent business school. AGSM offers a full-time MBA Program in Sydney, a national part-time MBA in major Australian capital cities, a part-time MBA Program for practising managers in Hong Kong, executive programs and customised corporate education.
